How I Approached the Brief

BuddyKu aimed to boost engagement by introducing a feature that turns article highlights into Instagram Story templates, making it easier to share key points in a visually appealing way.
CHALLENGE
Instagram Stories offer limited interactivity, making it hard to drive users directly to the app. The design needed to grab attention, spark curiosity, and strengthen brand recognition.
PROCESS
Reviewed how similar platforms share content via Instagram Stories to understand effective patterns. Identified key visual elements from Instagram’s own guidelines (card size, icon placement, typography). Created several design variations, experimenting with imagery, layout, and short copy to improve clarity and appeal.
OUTCOME
Delivered four Instagram Story template variations that clearly showcase article highlights, maintain BuddyKu’s brand identity, and guide users toward downloading the app. Each design balances imagery, text, and app store icons to ensure clarity and recognition, even within Instagram Stories’ limited interactivity.
